Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
I wouldn't exactly say "tongues" have a need to drink... And, more importantly, "tongues" is completely acceptable to be misspelled, but why in the hell is "sponges" frequently misspelled? Come on people, you can do better than that.
