| Introduction | As an artist, much of my inspiration came from the museums in Pittsburgh, PA, where I grew up - specifically, the wonderful Carnegie Art Museum and the Natural History Museum. Now, professionally, I’m a dioramist, with a focus on natural history themes. I get to use every media possible. I graduated from the Illustration Department of Ringling College of Art and Design. I worked in a number of ad agencies as a publication designer and illustrator. My husband, Larry, and I have two wonderful daughters that were born in China. I started teaching in Florida, while I worked as a decorative painter, at Ringling College of Art and Design and have been teaching at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design for over 10 years, face-to-face and online.
