| Introduction | The bond between the person and the earth is indissoluble from birth until its return to the lap of the earth. My work speaks about a relationship with the environment and promotes more technical and material independence in the artistic production, because use land to paint, taking us out from this cement society model that is all about manufacturing and commerce where everything is consumed. Mater's mother presents the natural and wild environment that remote origins, formation of the world through used material and gesture; have at the same time abstract and figurative record, this way is corroborated by the works of Antoni Tàpies, Thomas Reinhold and Miquel Barcelò from “ O Paraíso é terreno"; and by the Nordic romanticism that exalted nature and by it the sense of the sacred, influenced artists like Jackson Pollock, Rotko and Vincent Van Gogh. I think painting as territory, my body and environment are here to establish and create a territory and here also an invitation to occupy this land that paints. Sela |
