| Introduction | My name is Mauro Verde and I've been teaching English for many years...but not in the traditional, textbook way. I believe in turning lessons into joyful, interactive journeys- where we learn through music, movement, rhythm, and real-life conversation. I think that a song is not just a song- it's a language learning tool, a memory trigger, a mood setter, and a cultural key. Thanks to the collaboration with musician and English teacher Charles Goodger, some of our adapted songs have been turned into complete musical pieces. FunSongs method is very close to my own approach, and we've exchanged ideas and practices to make language learning more multisensory and memorable. I have also worked as a teacher trainer for primary school teachers aiming to achieve B1 level certification for teaching English to young learners.Why this blog ? Green Vibes is a space for sharing what moves me - in teaching, in learning, in life. It's for educators, learners, and curious minds who believe that language is a connection, that songs can teach, and that education is always a creative act. And so...let's exchange ideas. let's sing, let's question, reflect- and learn. |
| Interests | Beyond teaching, I enjoy writing poetry-often dedicated to my family, to daily reflections, or to my four lively grandchildren. I also enjoy cooking, especially fish dishes. I'm also a fan of philosophy, of slow questions and open minds, and I rarely miss a football match when Napoli is playing. |
