| Introduction | Hey there, my name is Nina, 24 years old, and I am from Germany! For as long as I can think, drawing and art have been a big part of my life. I enjoyed and practised drawing, sketching and creative work from earliest childhood days. At 15 I had my very first own exhibition with personal artwork. After I finished secondary school and got my A-Levels in 2006, I started to work actively on my career and took commissions from different comic- and fiction publishers. By now I have been working for clients like DroemerKnaur (a big publisher here in Germany) and Sony Pictures Germany. I always felt that there was nothing more exciting for me than creative work – and to be honest I cannot imagine doing anything else. In 2008, I attended the KDA for further studies. When I finished I was able to take a job as a teacher for illustration and design-basics, beside my work for publishers and other clients. I developed my own style and am still working constantly and consistently on my skills with the help of tutorials, constructive criticism and experimenting. I am a comic artist, an illustrator for novels and I would like to work as a 2D concept artist for the game industry in the future. |
