| Introduction | The real reason I decided to major in animation is because I wanted to do everything. That and I love the fact that animation is the only art form where you get to work in the 4th and 5th dimensions: time and storytelling. I’m also finding that I’m more of a painter at heart. Lots of things inspire me in different ways. I take the good bits out of everything, but I love it when everything comes together, and I think Disney does that the most frequently in animation. As far as art goes I love just plain beautiful things, or when ordinary things are portrayed as beautiful. I’m not so much into the gritty, grimy and dark except when it’s needed to tell a good story. The real sad truth of the matter is I have no clue where I’m going or what exactly I want to do. I’ve decided I want to do art something and I’m in school for it, but I’m discovering what I do and don’t like as I learn more about everything. I’m actually really waiting on trying layout and storyboarding to see if either really click. |
