Introduction	I work for the Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Our group performs applied research involving the surfaces and interfaces relevant to next-generation thin film photovoltaic technology. My wife Kelly and I recently moved closer to work so that I can continue a long history of bike commuting that includes a 14 year long stint of not owning a car.
Interests	Bicycling, renewable energy (this mean solar or more specifically photovoltaics to me), practices leading to a sustainable society, being part of a collective that's smarter than a Petri dish full of bacteria.
Favorite movies	Akira, Brazil, Barfly, any movie out with my wife.
Favorite books	Right now "Tiling 1-2-3" by the Home Depot.
