| Introduction | I'm a 24 yr old H-town girl, in my second year of Medical School to realize my life long dream of becoming a doctor. It is much harder than I imagined especially having to be away from my family and friends. Houston has always been my home and even with the traffic, pollution and lack of seasons, I still love it. They say that absence make the heart grow fonder and my heart does grow fonder every time I'm away from home. I graduated from the University of St.Thomas in 2007. UST is more than my undergraduate institution, the people, the ideas and the place itself contributed so much to shaping my adult life. I've overcome much obstacles in life and still climbing the many hills in life but I have so many blessings in my life that make me very fortunate. My faith is the most important thing in my life. It has been my strength, where I draw my inspiration and what gives me hope to keep going. It is the greatest gift in my life. I've been married for 2 years to my best friend. He has been so supportive of my dreams and believes in me even when I don't believe in myself. He is my better half and I can't wait to finish school so I can get back to him and start living our life! |
