Introduction	Born and currently residing in Malta, Jameelah discovered bellydance in 2000, whilst watching a TV show. It wasn't until years later however, that she started training in this beautiful form of dance. Her frustration with the lack of local teachers, drove her to set up BELLYDANCE MALTA with her friend Jannah in 2007. Jameelah has been dancing and performing since the tender age of 9. Her background includes modern, folk, cabaret and flamenco. She has performed in many stage productions including HMS Pinafore (MADC), Calamity Jane (UOM - Campus Fest) and Carmen (Allegria Academia Flamenca). It was in 2005 that Jameelah received her first bellydance training, with Klara Brasil. Since then she has dedicated all her spare time to this beautiful artform and has furthered her studies with various teachers locally (Laaryah - Canada, Chellcy Reitsma - USA) and abroad (Raniya - Holland, Xiomara - Florida, Portia - Florida, Laura Ketchler - DC). Her preffered styles revolve around Classical Egyptian, Egyptian Cabaret and Folkloric Egyptian, however she has also been trained in Spanish Fusion, ATS and Tribal Fusion.
