| Introduction | Hello! My name is Joanne and I currently attend El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, California. It's about 5 miles away from Berkeley (sounds familiar?). This year, I applied for a scholarship to go to UPENN over the summer to study Social Justice. The process was very stressful but I am very thankful that I was awarded that scholarship. During my time in Philadelphia, I hope to learn more about social justice and see how I can apply the lessons I learned to my community. |
