| Introduction | After painting for many years in Nova Scotia, I relocated to Victoria, British Columbia. Many of my recent paintings consider the idea of the woodland thicket, a place full of dense texture and flickering light and shadow through which one can only move slowly. In this fast moving industrial world, I seek to evoke the experience of immersion in a quiet wilderness. My paintings are available at the Canvas Gallery in Toronto, the Secord Gallery in Halifax,Visual Voice Fine Art in Truro, and at the AGNS Art Sales and Rental Gallery in Halifax. I have also recently become a member of the Gage Gallery Artists' Collective in Victoria, B.C. My work is in private and corporate collections, and in the public collections of the Municipality of the County of Colchester, the Alzheimer Society and the Nova Scotia Art Bank. |
