She graduated in 2007 from the University of Hartford, where she also received her Master’s in Illustration in 2020. Her career began as a scenic painter at a creature shop, where she painted murals and large-scale sculptures for mini golf courses, storefronts, windows, and parade floats. She has illustrated three picture books "A Bailar!/ Let's Dance!", "I Want to be a Bald Eagle", and "The Big Bong Boo". Her work has also appeared in children’s magazines and educational textbooks. Her work has been exhibited in the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles competitions and she is an active member of The Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators.
