| Introduction | I'm the youth director at my church. I really enjoy this work and believe in what I'm doing. My job is to help people understand that we can have peace with God only through Jesus' perfect life, the life we could not live, and his death on the cross as our wrath bearing substitute. We can receive his free gift of salvation, or remain under God's wrath as his enemy. To remain his enemy means to cut ourselves off from the author of all good and to spend eternity in Hell. Accepting this gift means spending eternity with God in Heaven. True faith in Jesus, the sufficiency of his finished work for our salvation, and in his commandments and teaching, proves itself in our lives with Holy Spirit empowered living. Faith and repentance are two sides of the same coin, both are a gift from God. To turn to Jesus is to also turn away from sin. |
