About me

Introduction I have loved reading and writing since early childhood when I devoured books like Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and its sequel, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Before that I read any Amelia Bedelia stories I could get my hands on. My all-time favorites include The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss. One of my fondest past-times as a child was penning letters to my grandmother in Michigan back when stamps cost 13 cents. So of course in college I had to study English and writing and have since used my creative skills in marketing and teaching as an adjunct for a couple of universities. Along the way I have worked in multiple restaurants, something I'm not very skilled at, as a teacher's assistant, and with the elderly which I loved. I aspire to work at a pre-school, because my spirit resonates with all the things small children like—color, crafts, reading books, singing songs, dancing, animals, and hugs. When I'm not working at my part-time job, tending to my own children or the family pets, I'm writing and enjoy painting furniture during breaks.
