| Introduction | hello. have a seat. i'm made in alaska, a native man trying to record stories of my life growing up in alaska. at the urging of my family and friends, discovered that it's just what i needed. my 2 blogs are a first for me. trying not to fall into the habit of being critical of this work. trying to give myself free rein to explore what comes to mind. enjoy..or not. it's ok. you can move on, i won't be offended..really. i'm now retired from a stoke. but still mobile, writing wireless from my couch on my homestead. pushed by family and friends to write stories. i'm not sure what the big deal is. i just do as they ask. i've worked mostly as a river pilot, but i did use my education to do some time as a bank loan officer, village corporation president, and nonprofit administrator. i prefer the river life. raised on a tug boat on a subsistence lifestyle and winter trapping. i now enjoy my retirement in a modest home. with my blond lab, missy. i have 3 grown kids and i'm uppa to 4 grands. |
