A.C.T.

| Introduction | A.C.T. (Aiding Children Together) was founded in 2010 by an inspired group of 7th graders and their teacher at McCracken Middle School. The students wanted to help prevent child labor in companies like Nike and Apple. The group created a walk-a-thon to raise money to send to a nonprofit organization called Free the Children. The students also wrote letters to newspapers and people in Congress, like Jan Schakowsky. The two mile walk raised a total of over $1000 from selling cups and shirts, along with other dontations. The A.C.T. committee received good feedback and they hope to continue their quest for children's rights around the world. |
