| Introduction | John and Lynne Ford studied at the Cape Wine Academy and earned the Academy's Diploma in Wine in 1997. We opened our gourmet food and fine wine shop, Main Ingredient in 2002 and ran it until 2010. In that time it won the Eat In Guide's Outstanding Outlet Award three times. Since 2010, we have concentrated on publishing news and stories about the South African and international wine and gourmet industries and on travel in South Africa and internationally. John studied photography at the Polytechnic School of Photography in London, where his final year major subject was portraiture.
