Introduction I've been racing in the mountains for far too long. I have over 35 year's running experience, especially off-road and fell running, favouring the longer distance stuff. I've completed more than fifteen 100mile ultras, as well as running 118m in a 24hr track race, which seemed to impress the Aussie organizer, and I regret not going back to crack 200km the following year. I've done Bob Graham Rounds, and a Paddy Buckley as well as finishing the original Dragon's Back Race in 1992. I'm also a competent climber (MIA and Winter ML) and paddler, and latterly done more adventure races, including 20 ACE Races. 5000 Open Adventure points, The Hebridean Challenge as a solo, team and pair, ARWC, WARC, C2C and Terrex. Over the past fifteen years I developed the NAV4 Off-Road Running Skills courses, for mountain marathoners, fell and trail runners, and adventure racers. In 2012 I completed Terrex Sting Exped Adventure Race in August closely followed by a second completion of The Iconic Dragon's Back Race. 2013 was a quiet year with just the Lakeland 100. 2014 was a 'building year' LAMM and ITERA race being the big races. 2015 kicked-off with the Spine Race..
