| Introduction | Genesis 11:1-11 tells us the story of The Tower of Babel. Built by Noah's descendants, it was intended to reach up to heaven. But god, offended by the construction, caused its builders to speak in different languages. The ensuing confusion ensured the failure of the enterprise. Every day we use words... twist, coerce and morph words to serve us. Words can inspire or conspire; comfort and confuse. A blog named after such a fable might seem perverse. But the story of Babel is a tale of defiance. This blog is about my experiments with defiance, desire and things people are. |
