| Introduction | I am Katherine. I am in my mid-twenties, married, and work full-time. I have a variety of interests, hobbies, and obsessions which “demand” my time. I’m sure I don’t have to explain how difficult it can be to fit these things into normal, everyday life but I find the idea of life being a work-eat-sleep-repeat routine strangling and absolutely repulsive. I want to truly live my life. I do not want to find myself 50-something and realize or feel that I spent the last 30 years working just to pay off my mortgage, car, or student loans and never took the time to enjoy the small moments in my life. (or 60-something and still working to pay off a mortgage that was supposed to take 30 years and has been more like 40 and I can’t even save up money enough to go on an international vacation which, of course, I’ve been dreaming of since… birth?). I am declaring myself “In Charge” of my own happiness. I am making my own perfect moments. This Simple Wife will live life fully! |
