| Introduction | April left home when she was sixteen to start her secondary education at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College. After a fantastic year of partying (you know those preacher's kids), she decided that she might be in need of a more structured lifestyle. Her eighteenth birthday found her two weeks from graduating basic training in the Army. She celebrated her nineteenth birthday in Germany. Her short-lived career as a soldier lit a spark of adventure in her heart. She held a variety of jobs including cab driver, secretary, apprentice to a famous stained-glass artist, salesperson and was even a telephone psychic for two days. She eventually found her home in writing and bar tending. She now lives in upstate New York, of all places, with her lover The Big Guy, step-daughter Little Bit, and the two-faced cat.
