| Introduction | I was born in the UK and grew up in a small village near Portsmouth. I went to university in Leeds and met my now husband when I graduated. We moved to Essex 6 months later for Richard's new job. We married in August 1998, and had our daughter, Katy in October 2000. Richard's job then took us to Koln, Germany. Ten weeks later, our son, Jack was born, in July 2003. We lived in Koln for two and a half years, learning the language and enjoying seeing the sights of nearby Europe. Katy went to a German Kinder so she actually spoke better German than English. In 2005, Richard's job once again moved us. This time to Shanghai, China. We lived there for two years with the children attending the local British International School. Our last move came in August 2007 when we moved to Melbourne, Australia and here we still are. We are now citizens of Australia and love our lives here. Here is home. |
