| Introduction | It was through a Bap. Church’s after school activity that I received Christ. That began my walk with Christ at 8. I was discipled by an inner city organization, Hospitality House (HHI), teaching me aspects of devotion, prayer, and witnessing. But at 17 I took a nose-dive and in the “70’s” started experimenting with drugs, drinking and girls. The next 3 yr continued to get worse. One night one of my leaders from HHI showed up at my apartment and caught me in the middle of my sin. After being confronted with my double life I gave my life to Christ in 1974 and started attending Jesus People Church. It was about a month later that I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with gifts and power of God. In 1976 that I started working for HHI. I worked with them for over 15 yr, leading hundreds of youth to Christ and discipling many. I am the Executive Director for Youth Resources, Adjunct professor at North Central University, TechMission and national speaker. I am the Husband of one wife “Rebecca McConico” 32yr the father of 4 and have lived and raised my family in the city. |
