| Introduction | For most of my life, I’ve been a fan of genre entertainment (a catch-all term used as an umbrella to cover all sorts of nerdy pursuits such as all things sci-fi, fantasy, horror, mystery, action, spy, futuristic, animation, anime, superhero supernatural, otherworldly, or violent). But now I have taken a leave of absence from my usual forms of entertainment. This is due to the financial and social obligations required from marriage and fatherhood. However, like any good addiction, it isn’t quite that easy to walk away or to completely keep my distance. My preferences and desires still lean towards this nerdy entertainment. I still watch sci-fi television, read trade paperbacks, and keep up with professional wrestling, that is in between Home and Garden Television and Goodnight Moon. This blog is to be my general commentary of that world of entertainment. It probably won’t be all that timely. I look for DVDs and books on the cheap. I play video games that are 18 months old. And I barely catch movies until it shows up for free on cable television. Hopefully it is interesting to someone |
