Introduction | Chutney Preserves is a juxtaposition of workplace with exhibition stage, or perhaps more coherently, experimental lab with ceremonial site. Chutney Preserves held their glorious inauguration at the Lambeth Country Show in 2005. Decorated like a fete, festival or other temporary public gatherings Chutney Preserves is now established as a regular annual event at Camberwell Arts Week and sets up camp on Camberwell Green on the site of the old Camberwell Fair. Chutney is in effect, a one day public art work, which visitors to the green can interact with, or just observe if they choose. It is a humorous and thought provoking display of a broad range of temporary art works and artists. Chutney Preserves was founded by artists Marq Kearey and Sarah Sparkes. |
