Introduction	My name is Lis David; I am from the suburbs of Washington, D.C. now living in Chicago - where I call home for the last 7 years. I came here to experience mentoring and leadership in CPS with a 2 year volunteer organization called City Year. I loved it but my real passion was in cooking. I went to culinary school at Kendall College and returned to restaurants, as I had previously been working in the food industry for 7 years before working for City Year. Back in the restaurant world, I served, cooked, and eventually became the general manager to a well-known restaurant in Chicago. I wanted to try a different area in the food industry and also see my husband more so I got a job as a sales manager for a company called Local Foods. At Local Foods we distribute farm-direct foods to restaurants, institutions, and retail stores. I spend my days talking about food from farmers and menus with chefs! I spend my nights at home with my husband who loves to cook and also at the gym. Salud! To good food & good health.
