Introduction | Hiya! Welcome to my blog- praisedwhisgrater.blogspot.com As the name of the blog depicts, its a diary- an e-diary, if you will and so i write in it quite frankly, safe in the knowledge that my privacy is secure so, feel free to read- this is only my way of diffusing my sometimes churning emotions that need an outlet. Your comments, where helpful and insightful, shall be very much appreciated. I came on blogger briefly under a pseudonym in 2008 but never did quite get into the "blogging spirit" and have been inactive, so, this is me not quite 'blogging' but 'journal-ling'. Hope it makes for an interesting read. Oh, and my name is Praised. Praised Whisgrater. |
Interests | I've got quite a lot of interests and they are all intrinsically inter- related: Law, Writing, Fashion and Photography, Interiors and Design, Wellness and Spirituality, anything aesthetic and arty and i'm strongly drawn to the human quest for a centered being- because I truly believe my life has been a journey of such a one- seeking my purpose. I'm quite awed to have a few, inspiring friends who really do seem to have clarified theirs- and at such an early age- but, then again, we've all been called to run our own very unique and different race. I do pray that the clarity I seek becomes uncovered in time- till I can clearly and assertively decipher this, i'm just a DivineDonna- on a journey to self with the sole intent of being a blessing and turning every experience life has handed me into a blessing to aid posterity. |
Favorite Movies | Hmmmmm... Not really a movie buff but- Pretty Woman perhaps? Pride and Prejudice too. Fireproof my Marriage. Not too keen on movies. Tv maybe. |
Favorite Music | Yanni. More Yanni. Chris Oyakhilom's Moments of Worship, Sinach and Frank Edwards. Kenny G. More Yanni, lol. |
Favorite Books | I live for books but, i can't categorically state all of my favorites because that'd be quite a diverse lot...... I love quite alot of wordsworth classics- Mayor of Casterbridge, Heart of darkness- Joseph Conrad- lots of Shakespeare, Michelle Mckinney Hammond, Wuthering Heights, Trading up by Candace Bushnell, Everything good will come- Seffi Atta, I love Chimamanda Adichie's Purple Hibiscus & Half of a yellow sun, A heart to mend- Myne Whitman, Oliver Twist- David Copperfield-Around the world in 80 days-Great Expectations ALL by Charles Dickens, I love the African Child by Camara Laye and i absolutely love So long a letter- Mariama Ba- and have owned one copy for quite a number of years but still find it evergreen and fascinating- and manage to still turn every single page with each re-read, absolutely love James Allen- As a man thinketh- what a superb philosopher, Love Yellow- Yellow by Kaine Agary- a true depiction of the ijaws through and through. Love Madame Bovary- by Gustave Flaubert- it was a tragedy and the heroine poisoned herself with arsenic but, its a great classic!... The book that has however made the most impact in my journey through life has to undoubtedly be the bible as i have needed it more than any other for every experience life's handed me. |
Can you relate to me?
