| Introduction | Er. Azhar Yousuf is an Aeronautical Engineer, space educator, and researcher passionate about promoting STEM and space science education. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Sri Ramakrishna College of Engineering, Coimbatore, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Geography (GIS & Remote Sensing). Azhar has gained hands-on experience in aerospace technologies, including contributing to the fabrication of the Gaganyaan dome sub-assembly during his internship at The KCP Ltd., Chennai. He has also completed specialized certifications in satellite systems, additive manufacturing, and mechanical design from institutions such as ISRO and Dassault Systèmes. Currently serving as the Head of the Training Department at Vyomika Space Academy, he leads ISRO’s Space Tutor Programme and has delivered space education sessions in more than 15 states across India, reaching over 10,000 students and training more than 1,000 teachers. For his contributions to space education and STEM outreach, he has been honoured with the title “Space Mentor of India.” In addition to his technical and educational work, Azhar is also an author. |
