Introduction I am a Cincinnati, OH native currently residing in Northern Kentucky and wintering in Gulf Shores, AL. I began painting with watercolors, my first love, in 1988. Since 2003, I have concentrated on being a plein air oil painter. I am a Signature Member of the Cincinnati Art Club and a member of the Ohio Plein Air Society. In 2004, I began painting with two friends, Joanne B. Hall (from Arkansas) and Barbara Grey (from Vermont). Our group is known as the "Three Impressionists of L.A. (lower Alabama)". Orange Beach Art Center is our home base. In 2008, I co-published "A Year of Good Manners" by Margery Sinclair and Jan Polk. My main focus is to share this wonderful information with everyone. I wish I had this book when I was growing up. AYOGM features 365 common, every day courtesy tips written by Margery Sinclair and the reasons to use each one. Margery uses a very humorous style to convey very important information which applies to all of us. AYOGM also features Jan Polk's "respect series" Great American Flower Collection paintings, which are images to remind you to treat yourself and other with respect.
Interests Art, Bridge, Traveling, Italy and anyone or anything Italian, family, friends, golf, a good joke, and kindred spirits who appreciate the importance of civilized behavior.
