| Introduction | The creator of this account, my father Bruce Maddox Stewart, sadly passed away on 8 January 2014 at home in Surprise, Arizona. Hello, I'm his eldest daughter, Joan Stewart Smith, who continues the family research that he so loved. If you'd like a digital copy of the book he wrote, "STEWART: HEATHER LOST,” please contact me – an in-depth family history about our Stewart line from Foss, Perthshire, Scotland that first settled in Johnstown, New York. My father originally wrote on his profile: “I was born in the village of Hebron, Illinois. I was raised on the FranElChar Farm (named for my three sisters: Francese, Elsie, Charlotte) about 1/2 mile from the Stewart Homestead. Most of my family are buried at the Stewart Cemetery, aka, South Hebron Cemetery. “I have been researching my family for over 30 years. Mostly traveling the US in a Motor Home to do so. We have traveled to Scotland and found the family farm location there on the Foss Estate in Perthshire. |
