| Introduction | Sandra Markus is a Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City in the School of Art & Design. She developed the concept of the Digital Spa, a technology summer camp for faculty in the school of Art and Design. The spa supports faculty learning and integrating emerging technologies into their teaching practice. She co-teaches the first experimental, interdisciplinary course at FIT, Digital Literacy for Designers offered to all students in the School of Art and Design. She is in the process of completing her doctoral work at Teachers College, Columbia University in the department of Communication, Media, and Learning Technologies Design. Her area of research is technology policy in higher education, with a specific focus on faculty development. |
