Introduction I'm a stay-at-home Mum, and I love it. I'm not sure I thought I would ever be able to sincerely say that, but I am now. Of course I look for outlets, but the fact is I'm in love with my family and my life right now. Not everything is perfect: we're in an apartment and most likely will be for some time. I'd love to lost some weight. I'd love to eat some more chocolate. (Connection? Possibly.) But really, life is good. And that's what this blog is about.
Interests As a family we enjoy movies, music, books, cooking/eating, being outside, being with friends and family. Marc is interested in economics and political stuff (see his other blog), video games, good science fiction, etc. I'm into singing, cooking, reading (I'm even expanding into non-fiction these days! Yay me.) learning about people - how they learn, think, and why they do what they do. Joseph is 4 years old now. So he's interested in computers, dinosaurs/other scary creatures, his pet fish "Horsey, " making friends and being generally awesome. Thomas is nearly 1 1/2. His interests include: mischief, balls, cars, shouting with a slight German accent, anything he can destroy and/or climb atop to destroy other things, being adorable, happy, cheerful and somewhat crazy.
Favorite Movies Serenity, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings (we're nerds, have we mentioned that?) Uncorked, Harold and Maude, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Some TV shows we love: Modern Family, 30 Rock, The Office, Castle, Food Network, Chuck, Big Bang Theory etc.
Favorite Music Travis, Ben Folds, Keane, Iron and Wine, The Shins, Radiohead, The Beatles, Weezer, Nick Drake, Nora Jones, Jack Johnson, Cat Stevens, Ben Kweller, Cake, Sufjan Stevens, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Feist, Florence + the Machine, Pomplamoose, and many more!
Favorite Books LOTR, Something Wicked This Way Comes, all of the Dune books, Dickens books, Life of Pi, Gift from the Sea, Left to Tell, East of Eden, just about anything Ray Bradbury, The Giver, etc.
