Introduction	I live in Valley Station, KY in Jefferson County, about 10 miles southwest of the Louisville International Airport. As a trained spotter for the National Weather Service, I want to help my community to be safe and informed during severe weather events. I own a Midland NOAA All Hazards Alert Radio with S.A.M.E. digital technology and am a strong advocate that the public own one as well. I enjoy photographing lightning strokes and individual snowflakes, also gardening, hiking, and spending time with my family outdoors, and of course, talking about all things weather.
