| Introduction | Former liberal who 12 years ago had an epiphany, a sudden sense that I could no longer call myself a liberal or leftie. It started by talking to some religious folks one on one. None of them could be classified as a sexist, bigot who hates women and minorities. I decided to listen to what some Pro-Lifers had to say one on one next. I didn't meet anyone who was regressive, with a caveman brain and a need to oppress women, none of them wanted to control other people's bodies, none of them believed in stoning women & none of them wanted to take away women's right to vote. Neither the men I talked to nor the women I talked to saw females as "baby making machines." I was not shy about calling myself Pro-Life after that, and it wasn't too long before I was calling myself a conservative. An America First conservative, that is. None of this neocon warmonger garbage, and none of this country club conservative crap! ____________________________ |
