Introduction	My passion for good food began when I lived in Banff AB. I was working for a production company that had me staying and dining at hotels from time to time. The Banff Springs Hotel became my second home, eating most meals there. I could enjoy a superb brunch in The Koffee Huis, a brilliant steak sandwich in the Rundle Lounge and for some Italian fine dining the Castello Ristorante was my favourite. Where ever you dine, Banff and area have high standards for the food and service. Tourist areas rely on this and it shows. It was a blessing and a curse because after moving out of Banff National Park I found that the real world doesn’t always hold the same standards as what I was used to. Dining out became hit and miss. Rejoicing when I found the places that stood up to the plate and grimacing when they fell short. Now it’s an adventure. Writing things down and keeping track. While on my culinary travels I will attempt to bring the experience to you through print... or blog in this case, so that until you get a chance to try it for yourself, you can get an idea of what is out there.
