Introduction A minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of God is my passion and everything I put my hand to, is influenced by my faith. 1979 - I received a call upon my life; the mandate was to begin to use my music, as a means to bring people unto Him, before the Second Coming of His Son, Jesus Christ. I became a songwriter, ministering in song for many years. 1994 - I was led to found a Christian Women's Interdenominational Group -WOGOD/Women of God Out Doing, where I taught for three years. At the same time, I led a ten year intercessory prayer group. 1996 - My husband and I became pastors and held that office for seven years. 2003 - We relocated. In 2004 - The Lord poured out (entire year) revelation of the days approaching; translating into a book: Manifesto - Before The Cock Crows (not yet available). My mission at this time is to share through song, teaching and ministry, the message of the book given. We are in a crucial hour and day. The Lord shared prophetic insights of things coming, many of which have already been fulfilled, however there is much yet to prepare for! We can prevail with this revelation. I am intensely pressed to share it with as many as possible.
Interests I am a very spiritual person but I am also a very creative person, not only in the ministry arena, but also in my home, I would say. It is almost without exception that people, upon entering my home, are found soon thereafter, uttering words like, 'This looks like a store!' I've had designers tell me that I am ahead of my time and I guess they could be accurate in their estimations, being that I continually stumble upon my ideas, being inevitably on the pages of the most popular magazines on the shelves; long after I've already done them! I can't stop creating. Whether it's music, teaching, or crafts, I just believe that I'm like my Father (Heavenly) who created all things. He told me once that He's the greatest artist ever and that we are His 'signature work and design'! I'm much like a hunting dog when it comes to desiring to see new ideas. I so admire all of the artists who have been gifted with such witty inventions. Keep displaying them, everyone; they definitely enhance my life. Much of what I do, I really do for my family: gifts, home decor, cooking...it all seems to be centered around them because they are the joy in my life! It's great fun to watch my adult children, now creating, and loving to do things in the same 'special' way - to make life seem valued and exciting! It's especially heart warming to have your daughter and daughter-in-law, ask you to take them to your favorite shopping/buying spot, on a Sunday afternoon. It's definitely time fun spent (if it can be spoken in those terms). I always have more new project ideas rolling around upstairs, than I have the ability to carry out. It's tough sometimes to juggle into a proper balance, all things that we as women, can find ourselves to be interested in. It makes my life seem so rich and full though, and I wouldn't want it any other way!
Favorite Movies Honestly, as a person given so much by the Lord, I really don't feel I should have time for movies. However, I love movies. My favorite 'oldie' would be Out of Africa. I realized just recently, that I am totally drawn to any movie having to do with genocide. Since writing the book in 2004, I understand why now. I prefer movies with heart; real life, I guess. A Hunt For Justice is a great movie and I am taken by the two movies about Queen Elizabeth. There are far too many great movies to even begin to list.
Favorite Music When I began writing music, the Lord warned me about listening to others. Not that their music shouldn't be listened to, but He wanted to give me a 'pure' thing - not influenced by something that I'd already heard. As human beings we have a strong tendency to copy and I have a real problem with those who do that, anyway. All that I have done with the Lord (preaching and all)I have done out of being in that intimate place, where I can hear Him and Him alone. What I give out, most definitely comes from His Spirit.
Favorite Books Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth Etter, Amy Simple McPhearson, Footprints of a Pilgrim (Ruth Bell Graham). I was introduced to these by way of the Lord bringing them into my life. I have been told by several (pastors and lay people) that the anointing on my life reminds them of Kathryn Kullman. I am especially interested in these, since the writing of my book, as the core message of it seems to be related to our 'elders' who are leaving us; even as we speak. They (the Lord revealed to me) have left behind an amazing 'pattern' for us to follow after - and follow hard after we must, if the Kingdom of God in the earth, is to continue the momentum that's been set up by these that have gone before us. (Ruth Ward Heflin is another of those 'elder' authors.)
