| Introduction | Born in Idaho in 1952, I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, I am the oldest, they all still live at the ski hill, (Sun Valley, Idaho), I ended up here and stay here becuase I like warm Saltwater, plus my daughter Stella lives here. I did poorly in school growing up, and spent lots of time outdoors, a working cattle ranch was across the road from where i grew up, so i had farm and ranch hand jobs, until i developed a reputation as a top ski racer, then i stayed up at the ski hill and away from the potato fields and barnyards. I was the man to beat for many years on the slopes and was sponsored by a selection of top ski companies. In between ski seasons during the mid 60's to mid 70's a group of us would run the spring runoff in our kayaks roaring down the Salmon, Snake and other whitewater rivers. I've rode horseback for months at a time in the Idaho Primitive Area, hunting big game and sightseeing. Moved to Hawaii in 1978 and lived there 6 years 4 of which i was the Harbormaster on the Island of Lanai. Now i live in and love the great state of Texas, I own and operate my Guiding and Outfitting business called Tide Guide and I am in my 17th year doing this. |
