| Introduction | My name is Jason Demers. I started working in the restaurant industry when I was 13 years old, but it wasn't until a few years 2009 until I began my training under Chef Hector Marcial. I knew the basics, the pace in the kitchen on a busy night, but had no idea how my life would change from the moment I walked into his restaurant. I love everything to do with food, and the culture that surrounds it. I love traveling and seeing new cultures and places. I spent five months in Hungary where I hosted dozens of dinner parties and learned (as well as taught) many recipes and traditional styles of cooking. When I got back it was straight to California for a few months to work at Bottega in Napa Valley. There I witnessed the next level of cuisine through fine dining, wine tasting, studying, and one very memorable stage at a Michelin Star restaurant. |
