| Introduction | Hey y'all! I'm Lauren, and I would be thrilled if you took a second to look around my blog: www.blesserhouse.blogspot.com. God has blessed me with the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom to our fiesty 1 year-old. My husband, Robert, and I got married in April 2011 and had our daughter, Olivia, in September 2012. Life has not slowed down for us since Day 1. After living with my gracious parents for a year and a half during our career-start up phase, we have finally put on our grown-up britches and moved into our brand new suburban house. My style is mainly a mix of cottage, rustic, and transitional. I have an obsession with barnwood, burlap, chalkboards, and Pottery Barn look-a-likes. With 2500 square feet of cookie cutter to beautify and a one-salary income, it's going to take a whole lot of creativity and a bit of elbow grease to get the job done. But the best part is I get to share my adventures along the way. I hope everyone can find some inspiration here as well as share suggestions to make the quest toward DIY style less terrifying and more uplifting. |

If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?
I'm not a spicy food girl in the first place. If the possibility of giving up sweets were at stake though, I'd choose chocolate over life without it. ;)
