| Introduction | James Bacon has been a systems consultant in London and New York, and a Professor of Business Information Systems at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and the University of Bath, UK. He has worked with organisations around the world, with an emphasis on getting value from IS/IT, effective organisation & process, and actionable information. His latest project is research and a planned book on "The JUMP Model: Joining Up Business and IT", about satisfaction, value and purpose through joined-up Business-IT. He is a member of the British Computer Society and is active in the Oxford Branch. James is married to Carmel and they have four children, two sons-in-law, and (at present) three grandchildren. |
