| Introduction | I live just outside Hexham, right in the heart of Northumberland. I grew up in the countryside and for fun I ride in local point to points at the weekends as a jockey. (When I'm fit enough!) In 2007 I was lucky enough to win the Bar Pro Bono Award for my work with Free Representation Units and the Challenge to the closure of Hospital Units. My family have a very small niche engineering business of which I was an unpaid director for many years. My family have been in manufacturing / engineering for nearly 100 years. My grandfather had a herd of Hereford cattle + was a businessman and farmer. Aside from being a jockey, I'm also a keen cricketer and member of the Countryside Alliance. |
