Introduction | Born in The Dalles, OR. on July 30, 1973. Blessed with a loving wife Tristin, amazing son Reece, supportive parents, family and friends. B.A. in Health Education 1995. 20+ years competitive swimming & (Linfield College 1991-95). Completed +75 races since 1998. My journey began to get back in shape and lose the 40 lbs gained after swimming college has turned into a lifestyle & passion. Race highlights: AG Champs, Xterra Worlds, Alcatraz, IM Coeur Alene 2004, 2005, 2011 and IM Canada 2008. Run 15 marathons Portland,Honolulu Chicago, Boston and Centennial Trail Ultra. Athletic highlights: consistent top AG, top 10 OA finishes, IM CDA 10:25, Chicago Marathon 2:59 and Boston Marathon 3:04. I understand keeping life perspective by prioritizing family, work and training. Balance is key to enjoying the journey! Coached swimming 20 yrs and triathlon & running for 12 years. Training through Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and San Diego as a USAT Level 2 triathlon coach. Coached +1000 athletes over the last 20 yrs. and +100 athletes to IM/HIM finishes since 2005! Heart surgery in Nov. 2010 to replace my failing mitral valve. |
