Favorite music	80's New Wave, post-punk revival, some contemporary Alternative, classical, some "New Age", some world music, some classic rock.
Favorite books	ANYTHING by Octavia Butler, The Hyperion series by Dan Simmons, Harry Potter, The Name of the Wind, The Sparrow, Handmaid's Tale, Native Tongue Trilogy
