Introduction	Daily Paintings is a Blog that I created to chronicle my progress as a painter. My name is Kathleen Carrier I am an Artist. I started doing daily paintings as a way to make myself pick up my paint brush every day. Some of my larger works take days, weeks to finish and I have grown to like the feeling of accomplishment I get from finishing these small bits of me daily. Interests	Artist Statement We all start with the same pattern in our faces that of a wide-eyed child looking at the world in total wonderment. Our experiences, the fears and fantasies of our lives, as they unfold, place the distinctive lines in each of our faces’ want to read the story of those lines. Finding their origin is the fascination which drives me to pick up a pencil. It's the tool which connects mind to paper. At the heart of any medium, that I choose is the form that emerges. My work lies between reality and the mind. I intend to create images of the people I meet and interact with, the stories I have heard and the thoughts and images these encounters have created in my mind. Reaching for the sublime in the images I create, tenacious to enjoy the journey to express my passion on paper. For me to be able to communicate, simply, or profoundly, across time and space, finding a person, who connects with my work one on one, is truly a dream twisted to reality. Kat
