Introduction | I am a wife, mother, and grandmother who finished a PhD at age 70. I am an active advocate for survivors of abuse, as demonstrated by my efforts as a founder of a local shelter, group facilitator, member of The Alliance to Recognize and End Abuse, which works at the local and state level for social justice. I am an active United Methodist member, but find much to ponder and consider in all religions. My daughter and I are interested in geneology, especially our link with Alexander Campbell, a Scot, who was sent from England prior to the Revolutionary War to influence the Cherokees to side with the British. He married a Cherokee woman and their daughter or granddaughter was my grandmother's grandmother...and interesting search! My friend, Sandy, has described me as a lady-like-changer-of-things. |
