Introduction After graduating from Cornell with a bachelor degree in biology, I went to Laos as a volunteer to work with women in the villages. When I returned to Ithaca in 1970, I obtained a masters in education at Cornell and then became a biology teacher at Ithaca High School. I retired from teaching in 2005 and took courses in photography and Photoshop, which led to joining the Greater Ithaca Art Trail. My Studio is called Lotus Studios to reflect the importance of the Lotus Flower in my life and my artwork. My house is full of art and my yard is full of perennial and annual gardens in addition to a large pond that contains over 500 lotus plants. My photographic art uses my own gardens as inspiration, while adding images from other gardens, sculptures, and architecture.
