| Introduction | I teach photojournalism at San Francisco State University and am the author of Photojournalism: The Professionals' Approach. For more than 30 years I have passionately sought to teach photojournalists how to tell stories with their photographs. I continue to do so today in new forms made possible by broadband Internet and the widespread availability of professional quality digital still cameras, video cameras, audio recorders and editing software. I've also recently invented a device that allows photographers to bounce the pop-up flash built into many 35mm SLR cameras. It's called Professor Kobré's Lightscoop. I invented it because I HATE looking at ugly flash photos. |
