Introduction	As an artist working in a variety of media, styles, and content, I'm often drawn to the concept of "place"- how the places I've been affect me and then influence my art. Working through the meaning of "place" with this blog, I hope my descriptions of "place" will evolve beyond the tangible landscapes. "Place" is, after all, about history, terrain, space, climate, colors, people, spirits, language, and more. Our being extracts the essence of a place and shapes and defines us as individuals.
