| Introduction | I have worked in an industrial environment in the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation trades. From "low voltage & control" beginning as a radio tech progressing through Senior Technician / Relief Foreman in the Automation and Telecommunications Department for a major oil company, through high voltage, as an electrical technician at a modern geothermal power plant. Working and consulting for small companies, I’ve managed people & projects. I became involved in "education" when dragged (kicking & screaming) by my "hands" into a JC classroom after their regular instructor went down with a heart attack. For the past 20 - 25 years I have been involved in the training of industrial / technical personnel in “Applied Industrial Technologies" locally (Reno NV) and as a nationally ranked seminar leader for a major training corporation. I consider myself a “troubleshooter” and “problem solver, and am actively committed to workforce education. Currently I am a project-based Instructor for National Technology Transfer and owner/operator of Dickinson & Associates. |
