Introduction	Often evoking a thin line between private and public, his photographs invite the viewer to wander through black spaces, to linger on specific objects that are both elegant and provocative. His subjects reveal themselves to the lens through a soft confrontation. The intricate negotiations between people and their surroundings explore many of the same themes that run throughout his work: sexuality and the subtle shadings of gender, the effects of time on the appearance of people, and the fine line between masculine and feminine.
